I love Lackey! I like most on the list, but she is my favorite! Happy TT, and hope to see you lots in the future!

Yes, Lackey is wonderful, and has created so many great characters within her various series. I'm finishing up her Victorian series, and hope to get going with the 500 Kingdoms in the near future (post-Potter, naturally).

Great list, Marina. I didn't care for Grafton's character but her writing was fine. The others from you list that I've read and liked are: McCaffrey, Rowling, Evanovich, and Barr. Early Hamilton is also on my list but I'm on the verge of giving up on her books. Too much sex, not enough mystery.

Thanks for stopping by my place.

cj--yeah, Kinsey can be hard to swallow, especially with her lack of regard for the rules (at least, that's one of the glaring complaints I've heard from others).

I haven't read too far into the Anita Blake series, so I haven't had much problem with the sex/plot ratio. I've heard lots of people say the same thing (too much sex), but those who are OK with the otherworld porn learn to switch their expectations.

I like most of your list too, but I love Alice Hoffman.

Carrie--In a good year, I read at least one of Alice Hoffman's books.
